Blackroot is done
The Lucid Line has begun.
words inspiring me today:
“Do what you love, not what you’re good at.”
“You must be willing to fail, and willing to make
a fool of yourself if you want your dreams to come true.”
“Your purpose in life is to feel good.”
“Life is a game, so play.”
The third one is an Abraham quote, but I recently realized that IS my purpose…even though I’ve heard her say it many times.

Ojai Day was a whirlwind event….with the help of my family I was able to pull it together. I was stationed right beside the gypsy stage with bellydancers and music all day, just where I had pictured myself! There were lots of people bustlin’ through. I did several portrait sketches by donation, which was a fun challenge for me. It was great to share my art with people, and display it in Ojai, the town I love. Thanx to everyone who stopped in!

What every garden needs=D
It’s the mufluff, the new rage in pot gardens…..
….nothing fits quite like it! The mufluff adds a rare tactile quality to the porch garden.

Goodbye
…………………..
Vermillion pink petals
grace the surface
of the midnight blue sea
where the amber lights
paint the quiet ripples
of the bay
.
The tiny lights fleck
the blanket of night above
like angel’s eyes forever
looking from the deep
.
you breathe soft
when you sleep
.
and I come to you in a dream
to hold your hands
and to say your name
to see your heart
with mine
to mirror your grace
kiss the lips on your face
.
and say goodbye
.
like a rainbow
.
unveiling
the secret of the sky
.

I’m so happy to have been introduced today to this amazing Japanese woodblock artist Yoshida Hiroshi (1876-1950). His work is impeccable, beautiful. He is a true master in my opinion. Someday I’m going to own a print! Thank You Yoshida for sharing your beauty with the world! Check out more of his work HERE.
